Tuesday – Pins I’ve Pinned

I haven’t pinned a whole lot this week, but here are a few that caught my eye.

The next chapter in our Science book is about plants, so I’ve been looking for plant stuff to do.  Here is one I thought would be fun.

This is a visible representation of a flower and then the child labels the parts of the flower.  There are a couple of cute things.  The seed is a real seed.  The flower is made from a cupcake liner.  A fun way to learn the parts of a flower.

I like this one because it also gives a physical respresentation for the “Fruits of the Spirit”. It doesn’t look to hard to do.

I liked this one because of the way it expands to explain expanded form.  You start with the number and then show how that number can be expanded.

So that’s my picks for this week.  Come back next week for more “Pins I’ve Pinned”.

Sunday – My Spiritual Journey

I’ve started reading a Psalm a day and using the S.O.A.P. method.

S stands for Scripture. You write a scripture or scriptures that stand out during your reading.

O stands for Observation. What truths do you observe while reading?

A stands for Application. How can you apply that truth to your life?

P stands for Prayer. Ask God to help you apply the truth to your life.

Todays passage is Ps. 7:

S – “I will give to the Lord the thanks due to His righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High.”

O – Most of the Psalm is talking about the evil persuerers and wicked men and how they do wrong to the Psalmist and to themselves.  The Psalmist asks God to deliver him from all these evil people.  The truth I have found is that no matter what is going on around me or even to me, I will praise the Lord.  I will give Him the honor and thanks that is due Him.

A – With everything that has gone on in my life and is going on right now.  I have to find it within myself to praise God for all of it.  I have to remember that God is in control and He has never lost that control and I will praise God through it all.

P – My prayer is to follow Christ and to praise His name through all of life’s trials.  Thank you Father for your direction in my life.
